Loved by 100+ accountants and bookkeepers.

Remindoo Detailed Task Creation feature is designed to manage compliance-driven and service-linked work with precision and accuracy, while keeping the process straightforward.

Build Structured, Service-Linked Tasks

After accessing Remindoo, go to the Clients section, then click + Custom Task, which is present on the right side along with the Recurring Task button. This opens the Create Custom Task panel, and the system defaults to Detailed Task to ensure you begin with a structured framework.

You can start by defining:

Task Name
Task Status (Not Started, In Progress, Completed, etc.)
Priority Level (High, Medium, Low)

You can then choose how the task should be positioned within your firm’s workflow.

Scenario 1: Link to an External Service

If the task relates to a client-facing or compliance service, keep the Link to External Service option enabled (default setting). You will:

Select the Client
Select the External Service
Set the External Deadline
Set the Internal Deadline

This can ensure the task aligns directly with the service being delivered and its compliance timeline. After that, you can assign the task to:

Yourself
A specific team member
An entire team

Add a description and tags if required, and the task becomes part of a clearly structured service workflow.

Scenario 2: Manage Internal Services with Equal Clarity

If the task relates to internal work rather than an external compliance service, you can toggle to Internal Service. In this scenario, you will:

Select the Client
Choose the Internal Service
Set the applicable deadline

The assignment, description, and tagging process will remain consistent.

This separation ensures your firm can distinguish between compliance-driven tasks and internal operation work, while managing both inside the same system.

Dual Deadline Control for Compliance Accuracy

Detailed Tasks allow you to define both:

External Deadline: The client or compliance-facing date.
Internal Deadline: Your firm’s operational control date.

This dual-layer structure helps accounting firms to stay proactive rather than reactive. Internal deadlines provide buffer control, while external deadlines ensure regulatory accuracy.

Clear Status, Priority, and Ownership

Every Detailed Task carries structured attributes:

Defined task status
Clear priority level
Assigned ownership

This provides firm-wide visibility across:

Who is responsible
What stage the work is on
Which tasks require immediate attention

Managers gain oversight. Staff gain clarity.

Standardized Documentation with Descriptions and Tags

Descriptions allow you to document context, instructions, or client-specific notes directly within the task. On the other hand, Tags provide an additional layer of organization and make tasks easier to filter and manage across clients, services, or departments.

Nothing sits outside the system. Everything is structured and searchable.

Designed to Reduce Operational Friction

Detailed Task creation in Remindoo is designed to follow a consistent logic:

Define the task
Link it to a service (external or internal)
Set deadlines
Assign responsibility
Add context if required
Click Create

The result is a structured task that fits seamlessly into your firm’s workflow.
